Camp information
Camp is at Katioke Park on 7 -9 March. Arrive any time Friday night or Saturday morning.
This is a family group camp.
Camp is open to all sections in the Zone. (It is suggest that keas may want to just join us on the Saturday afternoon)
Each group is to bring an activity that can be shared with other groups; activity to suit groups of about 10 people (8-15 year olds) max of 15 minutes, the activity must be run by leaders that are not taking part in other group’s activities.
We will be camping in the top paddock as a full Zone.
Cost of the camp ground is $5 per Adult per night and $2 per child per night; Groups to sort out there own payments to the Ranger.
Program – apart form programmed activities groups to sort out there own program.
The weekend is a very laid back weekend.
Food – it is up to groups to sort out there own menu.
Cycle helmets must be worn at all times when on a bike.

14:00 – 16:00 (approx) Shared group Activity
20:30 Camp Fire (Each group to provide a song and a skit - Please see us doing the day to check that no other group as the same item)
Sunday
10:00 Dry Land Regatta races
11:00 (approx) Zone Leader talk about BP and present award
DRY LAND REGATTA RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS.
This will be held at 10 am on the Sunday
After the races (approx 11am) the Zone Leader will give a bit of a talk about the founder of Scouts BP, and present the award
The Raft must be able to hold 4- 6 people running.
Races
4 – 6 per team
There will only be 1 race per age group.
Less that 8
8 year olds
9 year olds
10 year olds
11 year olds
12 year olds
13 year olds
14 year olds
15+ year olds
Leaders
If team is unable to fill there raft then people from the nearest age group may be used. Please note that a person may only race 3 times.
The overall winner will be based on total points that the group has, E.G. 5 points for 1st 4 for Second etc
RULES.
Judges decision is final (other rules may be added on the day)
All rubbish from the site must be picked up.
Raft has to look like a raft
(Just a stick or a bit of rope can’t be used)
Once a race has started no one else is allowed on the course.
Shoes MUST be worn at all times.
Anyone carrying a Water Device is Fair Game.
Water devices from the side lines is allowed after all you want your team to win
If some one says NO- Respect them
